Can You See Who Views Your Twitter Account?

Unfortunately, you can’t see who views your Twitter account. Being curious about your profile visitors and users viewing your posts, videos, and photos is normal. However, this information isn’t available to you and other users. You can only check your post analytics to see the number of viewers you have.

Apart from this, there is no personal information about these people. An alternate way to know who views your account is through your engagement. Someone who has seen your content would probably like, reply, or repost your posts. Interactions like this will help you know the names of your viewers.

However, it would be best not to rely on this information because some viewers may not engage with your post. Notwithstanding, you can make your account private if you are trying to avoid certain users. This action will help you restrict your viewership to only your followers.

While this is best to avoid unwanted attention, it may limit your social growth on the platform. Your limited private followers may not give you the desired fame. You may need to learn how to unprivate your Twitter account to increase your views. Making your Twitter public is a major tool for growing on the social media platform.

What Happens After Making a Twitter Account Public

Every account on Twitter, aka X, is set to public by default. Users only adjust the privacy settings after registering their accounts. It is normal to want some privacy on the social media platform, especially when avoiding an abusive user. But making your account public also has some of its benefits.

Making an X account public is a major step, significantly affecting the account’s appearance and functionality.

Here are the changes to expect after going public:

  • Every user can view all the posts and reposts you made when your account was private.
  • Anyone can follow you without first sending you a follower request.
  • Everyone who uses the platform’s native search feature can see your posts. Similarly, anyone can see your posts on search engines like Google.
  • Every X user can repost your posts however and whenever they want.
  • Anyone can reply to your posts. However, you can control the reply audience on each post by using the “Who Can Reply” feature.

While this makes you popular, you can profit from the attention. Majorly, it increases your visibility and allows you to reach a broader audience. This can create a great opportunity for Twitter marketing and networking. At the same time, you get to share valuable content with larger audiences.

You can seize the chance to engage in popular topics and use Twitter trending hashtags. In addition, you can connect with your intended audience irrespective of their location. This can help grow your follower list and increase your post engagements.
